New records were set this afternoon for lowest combined score and lowest winning score in the SunDome Shootout. Black Hills came away with a 26-23 victory over Woodland. The lowest combined score of 49 was 15 points fewer than a LaSalle vs. Vashon Island game in 2001. The lowest winning score of 26 was 12 fewer than the old mark of 38 done twice Burbank over Colfax in 2011 and Capital over Kamiakin in 2012.
In 2014 when Zillah and Morton White Pass entered the SunDome Shootout both riding 34 game winning streaks, it was a given that one streak would end when they faced each other on the second day of the shootout. Morton White Pass was the victor 75-65 in that game.
Entering 2015 Morton White Pass had extended that winning streak to 60 straight. That ended in a 61-43 loss to Brewster.
